SWEAT, JR., Director of Governmental Liaison MEMORANDUM To: Participants of the January 4, 1967 : Program'Planning Conference at City Hall From: Dan Sweat f , \ = f f ae ya tty On January 4, you met with me and other local, State and Federal Government officials and private agency representatives to discuss the need and desire to prepare a summer program for the employment and recreation of young people, particularly in Atlanta's low income neighborhoods. : At that time we discussed the various facets of preparation of such a program and assigned the coordination to the Atlanta Youth Council. The Atlanta Youth Council is in the process of effecting changes in its administrative organization and a new Executive Director will be employed within a few days. For this reason, there might have been some delay in following up on our initial meeting.
