Interview with Robert B. Flanagan, conducted during the writing of Georgia Tech History, Technology, and Society Professor Ronald H. Bayor's 1996 book Race and the Shaping of Twentieth-Century Atlanta. In this interview, Flanagan speaks about his role in the civil rights movement, particularly with zoning issues and developing African American housing projects on the Westside. Flanagan served as the NAACP's Executive Secretary from 1967-1968, the NAACPís Field Director for Georgia in 1968-1978, among other civic positions.
