Interview with Alonzo Crim, conducted during the writing of Georgia Tech History, Technology, and Society Professor Ronald H. Bayor's 1996 book Race and the Shaping of Twentieth-Century Atlanta. In this interview, Crim discusses the Atlanta School Compromise of 1973 and issues of school integration in Atlanta. Serving from 1973 to 1988, Crim was the first African American school superintendent ever hired by a major southern school system.
