Interview with C. A. Scott, conducted during the writing of Georgia Tech History, Technology, and Society Professor Ronald H. Bayor's 1996 book Race and the Shaping of Twentieth-Century Atlanta. In this interview, Scott speaks about Maynard Jackson, housing issues for African Americans, and overall racial tensions in Atlanta. From 1934-1997, Scott was the editor and publisher of The Atlanta Daily World, the oldest African American newspaper in Atlanta. He argued for voting rights and education access for African Americans, and urged the public to support African American-owned businesses.
