Interview with Leroy Johnson, conducted during the writing of Georgia Tech History, Technology, and Society Professor Ronald H. Bayor's 1996 book Race and the Shaping of Twentieth-Century Atlanta. In this interview, Johnson speaks on the racism issue during his civil rights activities. He was a prominent attorney, winning a seat in Georgia's Senate in 1962. This made him the first African American to serve in the Georgia General Assembly since the end of Reconstruction.
