Dear Mr. Buchanan:
At the public hearing held by the new Comaunity Relations Commission of
the city of Atlanta, it was reported that there are several vacant houses
on Markhem Street which were vacated as a result of code enforcement and
are still standing vacant. Residents of the area stated that the vacant
houses constitute a threat to the health and peace of the community and
requested the assistance of the Commission in having the buildings
demolished.
We will very much appreciate information about the regulations covering
such situations and particular information about the situation on Markham
Street.
