Dear Dr. Hamblen:

This summer the Atlanta Urban Corps has entered into contracts
for off-campus college work-study funding with approximately 21
colleges for a projected estimate of $70,000. At present we have
expended approximately $45,000. Unfortunately, we are late in billing colleges
to collect this money and consquently have very little of it paid at this time.

It appears that the city government is "worried" about colleges repaying
their share of College Work-Study Program (CWSP) funds. This factor
may prohibit us from sponsoring a fall intern program unless you can reassure
these officials that college financial aid officers do indeed pay their debts and
that we will be able to collect bills soon after they have been issued.
