Commission requested that you be thanked for your appearance before
this Commission at its previous meeting on June 2, and the writer
would add his personal appreciation to that of the. other members.
As you fully realize, the best hope for a real contribution
by our Commission to the improvement of the physical environment of
Atlanta lies in its becoming informed on what has been done, and
what is contemplated or being studied which would affect that
environment,
Yourspresentation, to our Commission, of your proposed
concepts of the improvement of certain specific areas, as developed
for the Atlanta Beautiful Committee of the Atlanta Women's Chamber
of Commerce, was received by all members of the Commission with beth
interest and enthusiasm, As stated to you during the meeting, many
of the solutions represent both imagination and feasibility ~ one of
the outstanding features of your entire approach to many of these
problems emphasizes the realistic concepts which govern their develop-

The Atlanta Civic Design Commission wishes both to thank you
for your presentation of the Atlanta Beautiful Program, and commend
the desirability of the solutions: proposed, It would likewise
include in its thanks and in its commendation Mrs. Embry, of the.
Women's Chamber of Commerce, whom we were happy to.also have with us.
