JACK C. DELIUS
GENERAL MANAGER
Mr. Arthur Sanders
Arts Festival of Atlanta, Inc.
Box 7432, Station C

Dear Mr. Sanders:
It was my pleasure meeting with you and Mr. Bill Finch on Friday,
April 14 to discuss the possibility of developing a master plan
for the renovation of Piedmont Park and more particularly making
provisions for certain facilities necessary for the successful
continuation of the annual Arts Festival at Piedmont Park. It
would be our pleasure to work with a group of architects and
landscape architects in developing the best possible plan and
design for the improvement of Piedmont Park. This department's
planning staff is so over-loaded at the present time that we
would welcome outside assistance; and, we would be able to
defray costs of blueprinting, etc.
I believe that a permanent performing arts area which would
include a stage, dressing facilities, audience seating, lighting
and control features, etc. would be a valuable addition to the
park in that it could serve not only the Arts Festival but many
other groups throughout the year.
Just let us know when you would like to meet again and to discuss
at length the development of a master plan and thanking you again
for your continued interest and assistance, I am
Cordially,
