I want to join other citizens of the metropolitan
area in thanking you for the great courage and
restraint you have demonstrated in handling the
racial difficulties in Atlanta this week. None
of us can possible estimate the contribution you
have made and are making to the peace and safety
of all of us. You have set an example for those
in high office all over this nation.
May God contime to bless you as you face the
difficult days ahead.
