My dear Ivan:
Mildred and I have just returned from a vacation
trip up in Northern Michigan.
We were saddened by the unpleasantness here in
Atlanta, but were tremendously and favorably im-
pressed with the excellent and precise manner in
which you handled the situation.
It was our impression that the national media --
press, television, and radio -- dealt very kindly
with the magnificent manner in which you handled
the situation.
We were proud of you, my friend; very proud of
you.
