You have the admiration and support of all law-abiding
citizens of Atlanta by your courageous and heroic con-
frontation of the lawless mob of agitators on Tuesday.
It is clear to all that having the top elected official of
the city in the forefront did much to quell the mob, and
minimize the destructive aspects of this well-planned
insurrection,
It is as painful to all citizens of Atlanta as it is to you
to see our wonderful record in the area of race relations
marred by outside agitators. Please be assured that you
have the support and admiration of all of your friends and
true citizens of our great city.
