City Hall

Atlanta, Geergia

Dear Meyer Allen;

I am writing te yeu on the subject ef
" Bleck Busting" by Negre personnel in the new all-white
Peyten-Utey Ferest Community in Seuthwest Atlanta.

We are a fairly new community ef only a
few years, all ef our houses are new, we are taxpayers in
the City ef Atlanta and Ceunty ef Fulten. We here in this
area leve our community, eur lecatien, eur neighbers, and
very much desire te keep this area white, as yeu and all
ether white people in Atlanta desire te retain their areas

for white only.

"Bleck Busting" is being carried en mere
and more in our area by Negro Realyvtors, and ether Negre
Organizations, and undeubtedly backed by the NAACP,

We, in the Peyteon-Utey Forest Community
are asking fer yeur support to help keep our community
white and te help maintain the peace and tranquility ef eur
community as we knew prier to about December of last year,
when the "Bleck Busting” really got started. We ask for
your support in keeping the Negre Realiters from seeking house
and property listings in eur area, We ask for yeur support
in zoning property along Gorden Road, S.W. as M-1, property
is lecated on the Seuth side of Gordon Road between Peyton
Read and Lynhurst Drive, S.W., hearings fer this zoning are
scheduled fer August 9, 1962. We alse ask for your support
in zoning preperty South ef Gorden Road, East ef Peyton Road,
and adjacent to the Westview Cemetary for a Negro Cemetery,
the hearing fer this zoning has net, te my knowledge, been
scheduled, but will be soon I am sure.

We believe the above, with your support,
will tend te keep our cemmunity a WHITE Community, and
would keep Negre heusing out of this area.
