The League of Women Voters of Georgia
FROM THE DESK OF BILLIE PFIFFNER, PRESIDENT
Sept. 8th, 1966
Dear Mayor Allen,
My husband and I want you to know that
we are indeed proud of you and your courageous
action on Tuesday, Your courage and dignity in
a critical and dangerous situation point the way
to all citizens of Atlanta, The shocking incident
was distressing to all of us who work hard to
improve the lot of all citizens of our city and
state, Your leadership may mean that we will not
have a repetition of similar incidents,
You have contributed greatly to the
fine image of Aylanta and to our national prestige,
I know that you have many bitterly dis-
couraged moments in your job but you have many
admirers and supporters in this city,
Cordially,
