Atlanta, Georgia.
Dear Mr. Mayor:
Thank you so very much for the tickets to the dinner
honoring the Atlanta Braves. You are wonderful to include
me in your invitations and I am most appreciative of your
thoughtfulness; however, I am leaving for New York on Mon-
day at 12:45 P.M. to meet with the National Crime Consul-
tants to do a two-day study of the New York Court Clinic,
together with Dave Beecher of E. O. A.
I am also to appear as a speaker on Thursday, April
14th, before the Annual Meeting of the National Alcoholism
Association at the Waldorf-Astoria.
I called your office to try and talk with you and
explained the situation to them, and was advised to have
the judge who will preside in my place during my absence
to use the tickets and attend the dinner.
Thank you again for the invitation.
Sincerely,
R. E. Jones, Chief Judge,
