Mrs. Fred W. Patterson 2959 Andrews Drive, N. W. Atlanta 5, Georgia
July 30, 1963.
Hone Ivan Allen, Mayor
of Atlanta,
City Hall. ( ‘¥
Dear Mayor Allen:
Fred and I want you to know how
proud we are of our Mayor. Your fine speech was
not an easy one to make but in the light of world
events today( as well as local events) it was nec-
essary, we believe.
As one travels about the country -
outside our area = one soon sees it is largely the
South which refuses to accept the inevitable.
It is reassuring to have a Mayor who
is a statesman.
Sincerely,
July 30, 1963.
