Dear Mayor Allen,
£ wish to congratulate you on your backing of
President Kennedy's civil Rights legislation. I have
been watching your progress since your election and I
want to tell you that you are the best thing to happen
to Atlanta in many a year. America and the South needs
more men like you.
I am speaking as a white, native born southerner
but as a white, native bor southermer who sees that
blind prejudice is ruining our country.
Again, let me congratulate you.
