I wish to congratulate you for your exceptionally
fine and courageous testimony before the Senate Commerce
Committee concerning the pending public accomodations
bill. I was deeply moved by it and as a former Atlantan,
greatly proud.
I believe that your stated position will help to
dispel the widespread notion that all unreason is
concentrated in the South. Moreover, it served to
point out the national, raher than regional character of
of the civil rights revolution.
