Barnesville, Georgia
July 29, 1963.

Mayor Ivan Allen,
Atlanta, Georgia

Dear Mayor:

I don't know why I waste a five cent stamp writing you because you
age not worth five cents. We here in Georgie witnessed your acg of
treason on the Televiston last week before the Commerce Committee
and frankly your stock with the people of Georgia hit rock bottom.

We are ashamed to admit that you are a Georgian and one in our midst,

We here in Georgia have no‘thate for the colored race and have no jealousy
in their having homes, schools and what they need and in fact everyone
that hag been up north say that we are much more generous to them thak
the northern people. Here in Barnesville we do not have a public High
School for the white people. The negroes have a new plant with forth
negro teqchers. How is this for employment opportunity.

I feel that the negros have the greatest opportunity of any people on
earth right now. If they do not have accomodations, Restaurants, motels
ete. why don't they go in business for them self, add upen up these
facklities in evefy town. What an opportunity. This will give them
employment opportunity and what they want also.

As representative of the people of Atlanta your actions were certainly
not theirdesire. You are g Judas Goat and a disgrace to our community,
and State. All we can do is to pray for your soul and trust that in some
way you can get back on the right path again.

Yours Truly

A Citizen of Georgia
