Dear Mr. Durden:

Thank you v much for your letter of June 28, 1967 to
Mayor Ivan Allen, dr., regarding the need for a playlot
and other recreational facilities and activities for
your area near Logheven and the Hightower srea.

City Land Agent's Office, Mr. Pete Williams, to at to
lecate @ playlot somewhere in your community, Oft 8,
vacent land can be located and we are able to talk the
owner into leasing it to the City at » $1.00 per year. In
some cases, however, the lendowner simply refuses and
our hends are tied,

in the event thet we are unable to construct a playlot, there
is a possibility of including your neighborhood in “Operation
Champ" where we can opersete off of existing school ea
etc. I am notifying and advising the Director of *

Champ" as well as the Director of the Neighborhood Playlot
Program of the need for some facility in your community and
just as soon as I hear from Mr, Williams I will be back in
