Dear Mr. Hicks:

I acknowledge receipt of your letter and check of June 6, 1967
regarding the donation of $500,00 te the City of Atlanta by

the Howell Fund, Inc. for the expressed purpose of providing
recreation facilities for this summer in several disadvantaged

and underprivileged areas of the city. I have drafted a resolu-
tion that will authorize the city to accept this donation at

the Board of Alderman Meeting scheduled for June 19, 1967. I have
teken the liberty of including in the body of the resolution direction
that the City Clerk prepare an official copy, with the seal of the
eity, appropriately framed and have it delivered to your office for
presentation to the Howell Fund, Inc. as a token of our sincere
appreciation.
