Chief Herbert Jenkins
Atlanta Police Department
175 Decatur Street, S. E.
Atlanta, Georgia
Dear Chief Jenkins:
Surely the Police Department is being subjected to very difficult
times and circumstances. It has been said that with the charges
of “police brutality" and various other pressures the morale of
your men cannot help but suffer.
For whatever it is worth, most citizens of Atlanta very much
appreciate the fine job you and your men are doing and I would
feel personally remiss if I didn’t pass along this sincere commenda-
tion for the way in which they have carried out their duties.
Sincerely youyrx’s
