Thank you for inviting Edith and me to participate in
the dinner given by you and Mrs. Allen to honor
the Atlanta Falcons last Thursday evening. It was
a very delightful occasion. We enjoyed it very
much, We appreciate your warm hospitality.
Your actions in recent weeks regarding the firemen's
strike and the recent disturbances near the Stadium
have been exemplary. There is no substitute for
dedicated, capable political leadership. We are
extremely proud of you for your courage and deter-
mination during these difficult days. Please accept
my heart-felt thanks. If there is anything we can
do to be of assistance to you, please call me.
