Dear Sir:

The results of the run-off yesterday for the Democrat
gubernatorial candidate are a disappointment for me and
a cause for concern for all citizens in this community and
state. Fortunately, however, the Democratic primary is
longer necessarily the equivalent of the election and

direction, The choice between Lester Maddox and Howard
Calloway is one which we cannot afford not making.

You, Sir, are highly respected in this community and
for that reason, I call upon you to take stock of our
