Dear Mayor Allen:

Iam just about committed to run for the Fifth Ward seat
on the School Board. My term as Youth Council Chairman expires
in October of this year.

I want to offer my resignation as Chairman of the Youth
Council if you think it improper for me to be both a candidate and
Chairman. If you see no impropriety, I will stay on until the end of
my term.

Iam not so committed to offering for the School Board that I
could not change my mind if you felt it would not be in the City's best
interest for me to run at this time. I have always valued your judgment.
